Missionary Society of St. Columban

Founded in 1918, the Missionary Society of St. Columban (SCC) describes itself as "a society of missionaries, including priests and lay people, who minister to people of various cultures as a way of witnessing to the universal love of God. Pope Francis Promotes Goals Created by Communists

Since the very beginning of his pontificate, Pope Francis has been working very hard to promote international adoption and implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the United Nations.  Just a little over a year after his election, Pope Francis was cited in a document of the United Nations Population Fund titled, "Religion and Development Post 2015." The Church or the World?

Then Jesus approached and said to them, “All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20 The Venerable Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen very frequently noted that "If souls are not saved, nothing is saved." The entire mission of … [Read more...]

Holy See Emphasizes Reservations on Sustainable Development Goals

Archbishop Auza, the Apostolic Nuncio for the Permanent Observer of the Holy See to the United Nations, issued a new statement to the United Nations, emphasizing the reservations the Catholic Church has with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).  In the statement, the Archbishop clearly identified areas within the Sustainable Development Goals that will be used to promote abortion and birth control, and requested that these written reservations be entered into the official records of the … [Read more...]
